Fire Protection Information
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself
with your building's fire protection systemsFIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM (Kitchen Hood, FM-200/Computer rooms, and Industrial systems):
- Familiarize yourself with the manual pull location and make sure it is clear from obstructions
- All Fire Suppression systems require semi-annual service.
- Certificate (Tag) must be visible for Fire Department inspection.
- Nozzle line & Pipes must NOT be touched or moved from its current location.
- Please notify Regency of any changes in appliances in order to adjust nozzles accordingly.
- All nozzles must be capped at ALL TIMES.
- All system's control box must remain clear from any shelves, boxes, equipment etc.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
- Fire Extinguishers must be serviced and tagged annually.
- All Fire Extinguishers should be mounted on the walls (Top of extinguisher shall not Exceed
60" max height from the floor). - Fire Extinguishers should NOT be used as a hanger for robes, coats, keys, etc. or used as a
Door-Stopper. - Extinguisher that has been used must be serviced
FIRE SPRINKLERS:
- Fire Sprinklers system must be tested, inspected, & certified every five (5) years.
- Additional inspections may be required depending on the building occupancy and type of
equipment (i.e. Pump, Generator, Pre-Action, etc.). - Make sure you are familiar with the locations of all Sprinkler Valves and how to turn
them off
